The Project

Key aims of the project were to achieve ‘BREEAM Very Good’ for Hea 02 Indoor air quality, and to minimise the impact on floor space by any specified ventilation unit.

Set in the attractive Millhouses suburb of Sheffield, Adlington Retirement Living development at Jacobs Gate offers 65 privately owned one, two and three-bedroom retirement apartments, along with extensive communal facilities for the over 65s. Adlington is renowned for impeccable attention to detail, and discreet user-friendly fixtures and fittings are a big part of the design and specification of the Adlington product propostion. Ventilation is a key consideration.

The Zehnder ComfoAir 155 CM is a heat recovery unit designed to enable better and easier specification of ventilation in new properties. It contains features such as automatic true summer by-pass, high heat recovery efficiency and integrated humidity sensor to provide a comfortable, healthy and energy-efficient indoor climate. The unit is suitable for ceiling mounting in apartments and small houses.
