Zehnder EVO gateways are designed to enhance the connectivity options of EVO units by integrating them into major building automation systems using the MODBUS and KNX communication protocol. EVO Connect ModBus is designed for configuring and controlling the Zehnder EVO ventilation unit. The RS485 device provides an opportunity to expand the radio frequency connections of the components.
It provides an easy way to read sensor data and control the unit using a variant of the Modbus protocol, a widely used and universal communication method. The RS485 device can be connected to the building management system in Modbus language, both read and write, to access compatible wireless equipment, probes, and controls (EVO Sense, EVO Switch, CO2 sensor, and humidity sensor) that are linked to the RS485 device. Zehnder EVO Connect KNX allows EVO units to be connected to building management systems that use the KNX communication protocol.
It communicates with the EVO Connect ModBus and the building management system via RS485 cable.
