Zehnder designer radiator colours
Just as individual as you
Colours – scientifically they are the visual perception of electromagnetic waves. Emotionally – they are an expression of our personality. From our choice of clothing to our living environment: Colours bring out our individuality and define who we are.
Zehnder’s new Architectural, Tonic and Natural categories provide three coherent colour schemes encompassing all the related colours and shades. Organised variety, which helps you to find the right colour for your designer radiator, your environment and your personality
Clear, analytical, puristic: The colours in the Architectural category are defined by their modern, urban objectivity. True to Mies van der Rohe’s maxim that “less is more”, this pallete of colour is characterised by its poised reservation, giving precedence to the design.
Fresh, dynamic, expressive: Tonic stands for the more intense shades in the colour scheme. This category caters to living environments shaped by their boldness and confidence. Vibrant and striking, these colours create an inviting, lively atmosphere.
Warm, simple and connected to nature: The range of colours in the Natural category are gentle, natural shades which give radiators and interiors a peaceful and calming touch. Ideal in the design of bathrooms and living rooms to provide an overall feeling of comfort.
Standard & Surfaces
Visually, the high quality surface of a radiator starts at the finish: The specially developed Zehnder coating process ensures a particularly high-quality and robust surface, which is extremely smooth, homogeneous, impact-resistant, robust and low-maintenance. And of course, free of solvents and heavy metals and hence free of vapors that are harmful to health.
Step one: Multi-stage cleaning.
In several stages, the raw components are carefully dedusted and degreased.
Step two: Electrophoretic priming.
For protection from corrosion and as an ideal wash primer, the Zehnder radiators are primed in a high-quality and compact priming in a special electrophoretic primer.
Step three: Stove-enamelling of the priming.
The priming dries in a furnace. The primed radiator can now be coated with any desired colour
Step four: Powder coating.
The paint is applied in special cabins. The powder coating facilitates a homogenous, velvety and simultaneously, extremely non-sensitive surface.
Step five: Stove-enamelling of the powder coating.
When the colour powder melts, the result is a flawless, colourfast surface with a high resistance against impact, heat and dirt.
The Zehnder chromium plating process is carefully and continually monitored at the purpose-built chromium-plating plant. In various production stages, the chrome finish radiators receive their refined surfaces enabling them to retain their shine for many years
Step one: Multi-stage cleaning.
The raw components are carefully cleaned of dust and degreased in several stages.
Step two: Pre-treatment.
A special surface treatment is carried out for preparation of the following processes.
Step three: Nickel-plating.
The radiator is nickel-plated by electrolysis.
Step four: Chrome-plating.
The radiator is given the chromium coating through several immersion processes.
Step five: Drying.
One last rinsing and drying ensures a brilliant, flawless chromium shine.
