Natural Ventilation System
Working alongside Tek Limited, the Natural Ventilation System combines Zehnder’s extensive knowledge of low surface temperature (LST) radiators with the expertise of tek intonat-vent: the use of natural ventilation (wind speed and temperature) to achieve controlled ventilation within the classroom. The combined unit provides a simple and extremely efficient solution to reducing CO2 emissions in classrooms and ensuring compliance with Building Bulletin 101.
By mounting the tek intonat-vent unit behind a Zehnder LST radiator the benefits of natural passive air can be achieved with the security and control of an HVAC system. Incoming fresh air is prevented from moving freely around the classroom, stopping draughts and cold feet syndrome, whilst the radiator warms the cool air to provide a comfortable indoor climate. Minimising energy usage and reducing construction and maintenance costs the Natural Ventilation System helps contribute to a sustainable environment whilst also helping to improve concentration levels and reduce absenteeism amongst pupils.
