The Zehnder chromium plating process is carefully and continually monitored at the purpose-built chromium-plating plant. In various production stages, the chrome finish radiators receive their refined surfaces enabling them to retain their shine for many years.
Step one: Multi-stage cleaning.
The raw components are carefully cleaned of dust and degreased in several stages.
Step two: Pre-treatment.
A special surface treatment is carried out for preparation of the following processes.
Step three: Nickel-plating.
The radiator is nickel-plated by electrolysis.
Step four: Chrome-plating.
The radiator is given the chromium coating through several immersion processes.
Step five: Drying.
One last rinsing and drying ensures a brilliant, flawless chromium shine.
