Dust is the general term for solid particles of less than 500 microns (μm). Dust is formed either by the mechanical breakdown of solid material; for example a truck's friction against a concrete floor, wear of machine parts and handling of cartons, or through combustion processes in welding fumes and diesel particles.

In directives 1999/30/EC and 96/62/EC, the EU has established limit values for the maximum concentration of particles measuring 10 μm and less which may be present in outside air.

In most of our installations, the results we achieve are below these values, even for indoor industrial environments.
